RAMZ FILM studio
The first website for a Tashkent film studio founded in 2006 — a catalogue of 27 films in three languages, built from an archive of raw material.
The studio had no site at all: twenty years of films lived in an archive folder and in people's memory. It came to me through acquaintances rather than as a paid commission, so I did everything myself — design, frontend, content structure and the media pipeline.

- Role
- UI/UX Design + Frontend Development
- Duration
- 1 week
- Tools
- FigmaNext.js 16TypeScriptTailwindCSSnext-intlsharpffmpegCloudflare R2Vercel
The task
- A studio with twenty years of work and no website — films, awards and people existed only as folders of raw files.
- The audience reads in three languages, and a film studio cannot look like a generic business site: it is judged on how the work is presented.
- The archive was heavy — raw posters, stills and trailers that a website could not serve as they were.
What I did
- Designed an editorial, cinema-first layout: the film is the poster and the frame, the interface stays out of the way — serif headings, no rounded corners, lapis and gold on paper.
- Built the site in Next.js 16 with next-intl, where every route is translated too (/uz/filmlar, /ru/filmy, /en/films) rather than a language prefix on English paths.
- Wrote a media pipeline (sharp + ffmpeg) that turns archive files into web-ready sizes, and moved the video off the repository onto Cloudflare R2 — only changed files are re-uploaded.
- Shaped the content as plain typed files with a { uz, ru, en } field on every text, ready to migrate into a CMS without rewriting the pages.
Result
- The studio has its first website, live at ramzfilm.com in three languages.
- 27 films, 17 people and 16 awards are now structured data instead of an archive folder.
- 180 images and 30 videos were prepared from the raw archive; the video is served from R2, so the repository stays light.
